WASHINGTON — A recent scandal on Capitol Hill has resulted in police being required to undergo potty training, according to a Fox News article posted earlier today.

A Congressional hearing investigated reports that the police had developed a habit of leaving their guns unsecured in the bathroom of the Capitol Hill complex. In one instance, a young child found the gun.

US Capitol Police Chief Kim Dine addressed the Committee directly, stating that his officers are now undergoing rigorous potty training in an attempt to undue their habits.

We are now providing additional training on what to do when you have to go to the bathroom.

The hearing revealed that one officer assigned on a security detail to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) stuffed a Glock handgun and a magazine into a holder containing toilet seat covers in a Capitol bathroom stall. Another officer assigned to Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) also left a gun in the speaker’s restroom with a child nearby. Neither officer has been reassigned.
